OHA District 16

District 16 encompasses most of Simcoe County. Simcoe County extends from Tottenham in the south to Collingwood in the north and Lake Simcoe on the east. It is a diverse region with many lakes and rivers, rich valleys, productive farm land, ski hills, and forests.

Simcoe County Master Gardeners
Simcoe County Master Gardeners is a group of trained volunteers whose purpose is to assist gardeners in Simcoe County with their gardening problems. The Simcoe County group began in 1987. Members come from all parts of Simcoe County

Common Mallow -- A difficult to control week common in orchards, gardens and lawns. Can be an annual, biennial or short-lived perennial. Multiplies by seeds and sometimes by roots. Flowers from June to late August.
Controls: Be sure all mulch is clean. In the garden by pulling. Mowing low often will help in larger areas.
